David Prior Bio
David Prior is CEO and head of R&D and product development. He has 40 years of experience in the Atlantic Canada marine industry and has filed patents on several new products. Mr. Prior receives advice and funding from the National Research Council of Canada, and receives advice from the Canadian Coast Guard and experts in the oil spill industry worldwide.

David began laying the initial foundations for EST in 1997. Besides English as his mother tongue, he also has capacities in French, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.
Key Qualifications and Experience
- inventor of the EST oil spill recovery technology
- project leader for R&D related to the EST technology since the beginning in 2005, including work funded by Altinex ASA
- long experience since 1974 designing and manufacturing for the marine indusry in Canada, USA and Norway
- has developed a network of best-quality, marine-related companies in North America, China and Europe
- has invented and patented several innovative marine technologies
- processed several R&D projects with funding from the National Reseach Council of Canada
- has commercialized innovative products in the North American aquaculture industry
- has spent time at sea as a commercial, deepwater fisherman in the Northwest Atlantic
